I was given a Summer Infant Sharp View HD High Definition Video Monitor and I LOVE it. This is my 3rd child, but I didn’t have a video monitor with the first two. I have to tell you, it is so comforting to see my baby sleeping! The size of the screen is large enough to make it easy for me to really see her, in fact, I can actually see her breathing (with all the scary articles about SIDS and suffocation, that really eases my mind). I was also impressed by what a clear picture I had even though the baby’s room is pitch black.
The ability to move the camera remotely and zoom in and out is awesome. I’ve only used the “talk” feature once to calm my baby when she woke up, but I’m curious to try it more and see if she likes it. The audio pickup is really strong, so I can relax knowing that I will definitely hear her if she makes any sounds.
