Wearing our circumstances
Everyday life happens. Sometimes things are all fine and dandy while other times life can be challenging and difficult. Circumstances happen around us all the time, but that doesn’t mean that we need to energetically take them on by wearing and therefore becoming them. If you are going through a hard time in your life,…
Our Kid’s Education Doesn’t Stop When the Bell Rings
Time flies so fast. I have been out of school for 10+ years and still get back to school jitters. I have children who are now in school. I learn so much from watching my kids learn and grow. At each stage of their journey, you both gain and lose something. My son is definitely not a baby anymore; he suddenly transitioned into a little boy. While I miss my little mushy baby, I adore the little man now standing before me with his unique vernacular. With his backpack ready to take on the world, Im already wondering where the past 4 years went. As he heads off to school, I pray and wonder, how can I help? How can I guide him? Sometimes I feel so lost in how to direct him to his next steps.
Dr. Mom to the Rescue!
When it comes to my kids health, I find the revolutionary pearl stated by Dr. Benjamin Spock to moms of you know more than you think you do reassuring, if not pressure-inducing. Ensuring All Milk is Antibiotic Free
“All milk is strictly tested for antibiotics on the farm and processing plant. Any milk that tests positive is disposed of immediately and does not get into the food supply. It is illegal for any milk that has antibiotic to be sold. If you choose to buy milk that claims to be antibiotic-free on the label that is your choice to spend more money.” This is the message I share with consumers when they visit our farm or I am given the opportunity to speak about dairy.
Escape & Educate with a Family Movie Night!
My grandmother loved the movies and found them to be poetry in motion. The medium was birthed in her lifetime and she loved it, soaked it up and enjoyed the off-screen drama of the movie stars. Weve shared many multi-generational conversations over films, which are immortal and transcendent. Todays world is much more celebrity and information obsessed but what I care about is the bonding that happens over media — movies, television, theater, music, dance, art I love it all! No matter what time of year, a movie night is special. Whether setting up at home for a movie night or going to the movies, theres nothing like it. Movies are timeless and the experience lives on well after the lights turn back on.
