Lindt GOLD BUNNY Celebrity Auction
The following post is sponsored by Lindt
Some bunnies hide eggs, others bring baskets – but this Easter, there’s one very special bunny that gives back to a good cause.
On March 5, Lindt is kicking off the 4th Lindt GOLD BUNNY Celebrity Auction. Autographed porcelain bunnies from 95 celebrities – including Betty White and Modern Family’s Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson – will be available for bidding at LindtGOLDBUNNYAuction.com through March 15.
The auction will help raise awareness and funds for autism, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Autism Speaks, one of the largest autism organizations in the country.
And that’s not all! Parents shopping for Easter chocolate can scoop up a Lindt GOLD BUNNY and feel good knowing they’re contributing to a good cause while giving their little one a sweet treat. As part of Lindt’s commitment to support the autism cause, they’ll be donating 10 cents to Autism Speaks for each and every Lindt GOLD BUNNY purchased in the US, up to $100,000.
Why is this such an important cause? Well, a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has shown that as many as one in every 88 children in this country has autism. In fact, it’s one of the fastest-growing serious developmental disorders in the U.S.
“One thing the data tells us with certainty – there are many children and families who need help,” said CDC Director Thomas Frieden.
Autism Speaks provides resources for parents, advocacy and a community of support. The organization is also dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism.
So this Easter, give love, give chocolate and give back!
