Healthy Philly Cheesesteak Recipe
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- Chopped onions
- Deli meat turkey
- Sandwich rolls
- Barbecue sauce
- Cheese slices
Directions
Spray a pan with cooking spray and put on the stove on medium heat. Sauté your chopped onions for about two or three minutes – then move them to the side of the pan and add the turkey.
Shred it into pieces as you add to the pan. Allow it to get crispy and toasty. Cook them on one side of the pan, while the onions finish sautéing on the other side.
Once the turkey is cooked, mix it all together in the pan with some barbecue sauce. Stir until it’s nicely coated. Move the mixture to the side of the pan.
Take your roll and scoop out a little of the bread. This makes a nice pocket to add in the topping. Place the roll open-faced down in the pan to lightly toast.
Scoop in your filling, layer cheese on top and you’re good to go! Easy Philly Cheesesteak alternative in less than five minutes!
