How amazing that two of our greatest founding fathers – John Adams and Thomas Jefferson – died the same day, July 4, 1826. John Adams’ final words, ”Thomas Jefferson still lives” were uttered just hours after his friend had died. And thank heaven for the earthy Capricorn moon! This moon, vedically called Poorvashada, gives a deeper meaning, it inclines towards loyalty, an earth quality, and has a connection to matters aquatic. Coincidences, well, like the powerful full moon of the 3rd and 4th, in that howling vedic sign of Ardra, an earlier segment of Cancerian energy, whose negative teardrop metaphor is not lost upon us right now with this unrelenting rain forest type of heat and storms. Maybe the Sun’s proximity to the brightest, reddest star in the Orion Galaxy, Betelgeuse, a supergiant, can explain some of this tropical steamy heat and fire which has covered at least twenty states like a biblical plague. Yes there’s water, flooding in fact in some states, and many people are sweating tears and losing their homes.
Since the Capricorn moon wants practical matters decided, and because the Cancerians’s hidden skill is their sharp business acumen, security and preservation of home and family will be a primary consideration.
Finding ourselves under the powerful magnetism of the Capricorn full moon, the Indian festivals of Guru Purnima, a sacred time of self examination, and the god realization within, is celebrated in India at this time. It is widely believed that if one asks for god’s blessings and grace at this particular full moon, he she will receive it. It can’t hurt.
Happily, Mars exits Virgo on the 6th. It’s been an eight month sojourn in Virgo, now to enter Libra, and partner with Venus, also Jupiter, for harmony and good times.
Having Venus and Jupiter in Gemini brings a sociable and amiable quality to communications and festivities. Those Gemini suns and moons are usually fun to be around.

Approaching mid month, we find several elements to add confusion, Uranus backing up slowly on the 13th, the usual process into retrograde motion, along with the mental hermaphrodite planet, mercury, as he, she? heads backwards into retrograde motion. Yes, we all take notice, however, the real reason to beware of signing and agreeing to documents and agreements is the added consternation of Mars completing a square to those two dog fighters out in the sky, Pluto and Uranus. They won’t depart this pattern until 2015. Watch out for these three days in particular.
The 14th and 15th fall under this same planetary arc, and even though the Gemini moon, on the 15th, brings a lighter moment to the scenario, we aren’t clear yet, and this in spite of Venus trying for all she’s worth to calm things down with her charm. As we head into the dark of the moon, it’s important to recognize the feminine elements called into play by this double Cancerian lunation. Blocked energies are trying to find a way out, voices and feelings want to be expressed. But it’s best to probably use this as a time for more interior pursuits, research, introspection, meditation..

July 23, 24, 25, are some really positive days, which finds the Sun in Leo, with Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury, and all in a harmonious pattern. Mars even trips the energy of that fun June 4th eclipse, from last month. All you June 2,3,4, and December 2,3,4, birthdays take note and USE the energies which is my constant admonishment: USE THE ASPECTS WHEN THEY COME YOUR WAY., just sitting back and waiting for a beam of magic dust to fall on you, well it usually doesn’t happen that way.
By the 28, 29th the Sagittarian moon adds to the optimistic vibe which gets a great boost from the harmony between Venus and Saturn. I like these days, I would make some definite plans here, a party, even travel.
Unfortunately, this has not been a good birthday for Tom Cruise, but then again turning fifty means he’s up for a Chiron return, not always the best of events. Tom ‘s birthday: July 3d, 1962 and Katie Holmes: December 18, 1978.
According to my read of their charts, this recent divorce announcement has not been a sudden surprise, turmoil shows up in both of their charts for many months prior. It’s really too bad because his moon and Katie’s Venus are conjoined in Leo showing great sympathy and affection. Other elements need to be in play for positive synastry between charts, a good rule is to have at least seven connections. But the approaching eclipse patterns in Scorpio and Taurus, this November and on, makes it look as though their divorce will proceed and also, Katie has big changes in her home base,4th, and career houses 10th. So sorry.
BIRTHDAYS TO WATCH:
Late June, 29, 30 birthdays, also late December, same dates, are under the maw of the two bruisers in the sky, Pluto and Uranus.. Their dance continues, on your roof, causing many little frustrations, and some pretty big ones as well. Meanwhile, should your moon fall in early Cancer, Chiron and Neptune in Pisces could creates some excitement and upheaval. Too bad they don’t sell emotional collision insurance, because this would be a good time to buy some if you could.
July 3, 4, Full moon birthday year!! It won’t be dull, and even though that famous grid of frustration from Uranus and Pluto, is approaching, you still have a reprieve.
Jan 2, 3, 4 ,as well, they are polar opposites so the same rule applies except your Capricorn sturdiness, lends humor to any hard situation.
July18, 19, the new moon birthdays, will labor under some difficult issues for several months, but all should clear up when Saturn moves into Scorpio later in 2013. The picture right now may seem harsh but thankfully planets and life, moves and changes.
May 30 to June 8 birthdays, in the first half of July, are blessed by lovely Venus crossing over their suns, with Jupiter close behind, and Mars adding some spark. How fun to be you.
October 1-5 births are almost as lucky, have a relaxing month maybe they can even read!.
Later in July, those August 1st and 2nd birthdays will have too much fun with all those fire and air planets showering them with attention.
May 20-23 Children will be analyzing their progress and goals and generally looking deep into their life to see what changes should be made at this point.
November 20, 21, 22, sort of the same as their May counterparts but here a career plan could be rewarding and perseverance pays off.
August,1, 2, 3, would love to get that mosquito, Mercury off of its ear, but the buzzing just doesn’t stop, and ideas are continually flying through your brain, especially mid month. The Venus sextile encourages your creativity, it will all turn out well., and Uranus moving towards those close degrees will amp up your life in a few months in ways you never thought possible. You think you’re being creative now? Just wait. And if your moon is anywhere from 8 to 12 Leo, I mean you too.
October 13,14,15 have had their share of pressure, the Saturnian influence is moving away and on toward the later days of October, This new moon makes it especially aggravating, but just wait till later in the year when Jupiter carries your flag and lends you all kinds of support.
