Mid January Kick Start

What’s up with your workout plan for this week? For the rest of the month? It’s about now that we start losing steam in our get fit resolutions. Now that the New Year’s glow has faded it’s time to workout because it’s good for you (whether you like it or not) even when you don’t want to.

I have made the Oscar’s on March 7th a fitness goal for all of my clients not just for my red carpet starlets- (PCA’s are already over, SAG Awards next…).  Why not make it yours too?

If you keep up on your fitness from now until March 7th you’ll have a head start on swimsuit/tank top season…and you will LOVE YOURSELF FOR THAT- I promise.

Below are some tips from my Daily Trainerä program (soon to be available to everyone via web subscription).

Fitness:

Look at your calendar and schedule in 3-4 cardio sessions and 1-2 weight training sessions, Pilates or yoga. If you are not a member of a gym or don’t have time to get to the gym, weight bearing exercise can be DVDs or routines that you do at home.

Food:

Start keeping track of calories again—just to see where you are at. Adjust yourself from there. 1400-1600 calories plus your workouts to lose weight. 1600-1800 calories plus your workouts to maintain your weight (and stay nicely toned).

Attitude:

Find gratitude for who you are and what you have.

Ok-now get to it!! Your fitter, slimmer, happier, self is on the way!
