Easy Oven Baked French Fries

I love french fries, I’ll admit it!  Crispy and golden brown, yum, what’s not to love?  Unfortunately, I don’t love all the calories that lurk in deep fried food.  When I make my own oven baked french fries I can use organic potatoes and organic olive oil.  It’s also way cheaper than buying frozen bagged french fries.

Ingredients:

2 pounds russet potatoes

¼ C olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Scrub and peel the potatoes, then slice into wedges.  Try to keep the wedges the same size so they cook evenly.

Pour the olive oil onto a rimmed baking sheet.  Add the potato wedges and roll them around to coat with the oil.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, turn the potatoes, then bake for 10-15 more minutes or until golden brown.

Serve!
