Let’s Craft: Magic Mustache Mirror
Let’s Craft is a special feature full of great crafts, inspiration and DIY projects that are perfect for any Modern Mom! The following is a guest post by Chloe Weitman – a crafty 12 year-old whose creative projects will keep your kids entertained for hours!
This season, mustaches are all the rage. Kids all over are sporting mustache T-shirts, finger tattoos and even wearing fake mustaches.
So here’s a simple craft project your kids can do to unleash their inner mustaches. This cheap and easy project is recommended for children 6 and up. All the supplies are available at your local craft store. (I got my supplies at Michaels Arts and Crafts.)
Magic Mustache Mirror
Supplies
- A stiff sheet of black or brown felt with an adhesive back
- Letter stickers (optional)
- Ribbon (optional)
- A small mirror
- Scissors
- Stick-on magnets (optional)
- Glue (optional)
Directions
Step one: Cut a mustache out of your felt sheet. You can print one to trace from Stachist.com or draw free hand.
Step two: Attach your mustache onto the mirror. Peel off the backing and stick onto the lower center your mirror.
Step three: If you want your name on the mirror, stick the letter stickers on the side in a vertical row.
For a locker mirror, attach the stick on magnets on the back of the mirror. Put it in your locker for a laugh between classes.
To hang on a wall in your room glue the ribbon to the back of the mirror to form a loop. Hang from a thumbtack or a nail.
And there you have it. Go and show your mustache mirror to the world. See how you look with a ‘stache.
Hang it proudly and contribute to the “mustache movement!” Have fun!
