How to Return to Love When Your Mind Is Fighting You
What do you do when someone says or does something that rubs you the wrong way? You’re having a moment of worry that you know doesn’t serve you, but you’re struggling to let it go? Here is one road that can help you return to love.
When I feel an internal struggle going on within my mind, my body gets uneasy and I start to feel anxious or stressed. Really, there are any number of things that can trigger my discomfort. Sometimes the moments of worry can be really hard to let go of. In those situations I love to read an inspirational quote, take some deep breaths and play a peaceful song. If the struggle within persists I take a few minutes of ‘me time’ to work on myself. It not only benefits me, but the people around me. Prioritizing time to shift back to a place of love and peace can make all the difference in how the rest of your day goes.
To let go of an internal struggle I close my eyes and talk to myself. It sounds kind of corny, but I like to think of it as my higher-self giving a much needed pep-talk to my ego. It often works for me, so I encourage you to give it a try!
Repeat & Often Until You Feel the Ease Return to Your Body
I choose to be love.
I choose to live with compassion for myself and others.
I choose to focus on the light and not the darkness.
I will let thoughts that do not serve me pass on by, and refocus on the ones that are of love, gratitude, and happiness.
I’ve been given the gift of life that I choose to make the most of; therefore I will choose the thoughts that best serve me and my purpose.
I am not my thoughts. I am love.
Doing this you begin to realize that you are much more than any moment of worry or anxiety. You are a soul far more expansive than one thought. Your soul is love and repeating words that bring that to the forefront of your mind has a powerful effect on your body. You can let go of that which does not serve you, and move back into the level of consciousness where anything and everything is possible. You are a great being; don’t let your mind get in the way of that. Your higher self is present to help you, to love you whenever you call on it. Speak internally with courage and ask to be brought back to a place of love.
