I was lucky enough to be invited by Perdue to be their guest at the Disney/Pixar Cars 2 World Premiere at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA. It was a one of a kind experience to see the faces of the actors behind all of the loveable characters from the movie. Because a lot of stars had their families with them and security was pretty tight I do apologize for the lack of paparazzi pictures.
I have to admit I’m not typically keen on sequels, but I must say, this one completely blew the first film out of the water! It was action-packed and fun for all ages. I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say there are high speed chases, gun fights, and even explosions (all presented in stunning Real 3D)! I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a good explosion?
Following the movie, we were thrilled to attend the Cars 2 World Grand Prix Attraction. They spared no expense in the celebration by letting the little ones bungee jump along the Paris skyline and race to the top of a pyramid of Goodyear tires. They even had a spectacular car show for us “bigger kids.”
My favorite part of the whole attraction was the food garden. Vendors from many different places were doing their best to win over our appetites with their delicious pot-stickers, slider hamburgers, pretzels, and tacos. I was lucky enough to meet the Executive Chef of Perdue and sample their new product: whole-grain chicken nuggets that were in the shapes of lightning bolts, Lightning McQueen, and even Mater the tow truck! Delicious!
