After months of rumors and speculation, Bruce and Kris Jenner confirmed today that they’ve split up after more than two decades of marriage.
“We are living separately and we are much happier this way,” the pair told E! News. “But we will always have much love and respect for each other.”
The statement continued:
“Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
Kris and Bruce have two daughters together, Kendall and Kylie. They also each have four chidlren from previous marriages.
The pair seemed to be going through a rough patch recently, with Kris spotted sans wedding ring and Bruce spending time at the family’s Malibu beach house.
In fact, just last week, Kris Jenner’s younger sister Karen told In Touch that the couple had gone their separate ways.
“[Kris and Bruce] are separated,” she told the magazine. “Their relationship goes back and forth. I would love to see them get back together.”
Only time (and future episodes of the family’s reality show) will tell if the split is permanent – but for the sake of their children, we hope they’re able to handle the situation amicably.
