In the years since his stint on reality TV, life seems to have changed pretty dramatically for Jon Gosselin.
The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star now waits tables at a restaurant in Beckersville, PA and lives in a cabin in the woods with no TV or Internet.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 36-year-old said it’s been “next to nearly impossible to find work.”
But he added that he’s not struggling to make ends meet and enjoys his work as a waiter.
“I’ve hit rock bottom like 20 times. I just bounce back.”
Gosselin also revealed that he has essentially no interaction with his ex-wife. The couple’s ugly divorce in 2009 led to the end of their TLC series.
” I don’t have a relationship with Kate. There is no relationship. Text and email. That’s it,” he said. As for custody visits with their eight children, “the nanny comes out and I exchange the kids at her gate or at the bus stop,” he explained. “I don’t physically see her.”
However, Gosselin is adamant that he is happy with his current, simplified lifestyle.
“I don’t regret anything, because you learn from your mistakes,” he said.
