Congratulations to “Star Wars” creator George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson, who are the proud parents of a brand new baby girl.
The couple welcomed their daughter via gestational surrogate on August 9, the Huffington Post confirmed.
What’s the baby’s name? Everest Hobson Lucas.
The little girl is the first biological child for both of her parents, but she does have some older siblings to look up to. Lucas is the adopted father of Amanda, 32, Katie, 25, and Jett, 20.
The 69-year-old, who sold his production company Lucasfilm to the Walt Disney Company for $4.05 billion in October 2012, married Hobson at Skywalker Ranch back in June.
And talk about a power couple – she’s got an impressive resume of her own. Hobson, 44, serves as a president of Ariel Investments and a CBS News financial contributor.
Wonder if they got Everest a baby lightsaber?
