First Look At The Royal Baby!
The world got its first glimpse of Baby Cambridge today, as Will and Kate were photographed leaving the hospital in their classic, incredibly adorable fashion.
Here’s video of William putting the carseat into the car:
Seriously, could I love these two any more? I could not. They are just the cutest and so clearly in love with each other and their new son.
Anyway, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their baby home from St. Mary’s Hospital a day after his birth. “It’s very special,” Prince William told onlookers.
He paused to answer a few questions from the crowd. “He’s got a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure. He’s a big boy – he’s quite heavy,” he said according to news sources. “He has got her looks, thankfully,” he quipped.
Kate looked effortlessly gorgeous in a blue polka-dot dress from British designer Jenny Packham and white flats. That girl’s style is ON POINT, people. Seriously, she just pushed a human being out of her body and she still looks more pulled-together than I do on my best day.
She said the experience was “very emotional,” adding “it’s a moment that any parent having just given birth will know what this feeling feels like.”
William told the gathered press, “I will remind him of this time when he’s a bit older because I know how long you have all been sat out here, so hopefully the hospital and all you guys can go back to normal now and we can look after him.”
He said that because William is the best, and I can tell you this objectively after decades of close-following any news story about the royal family (yes, I do have a hardcover copy of Diana: Her True Story, and yes, I was one of those insane people who stayed up until 4 am PST to watch Will and Kate get married). In all these years, William has never once said or done anything self-entitled or obnoxious and I love him for it.
And now for the most important question… Does the baby have a name? What is the baby’s name? WHY WON’T THEY TELL US THE BABY’S NAME??
No. The Royal Baby remains unnamed for now, and I will continue obsessively checking my Twitter feed until we finally get some answers.
“We are still working on a name, so we will have that as soon as we can,” William told reporters.
