Kate Middleton has given birth to a baby boy!
The big moment has finally arrived… Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William welcomed their first child on Monday.
The Clarence House tweeted the following news this afternoon:
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm. The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”
According to news reports, Kate’s mother Carole Middleton was also at the hospital.
The heir to the throne’s name was not announced along with its sex and birth weight. The baby’s name could be announced when the family leaves the hospital, although William’s was announced a few days after his birth.
