Congratulations are in order for Joanna Garcia and Nick Swisher on their big baby news!
The couple announced that Garcia is pregnant with their first child on Swisher’s Facebook page today:
“We are so excited to finally be able to share our exciting news with you! We are expecting a little Swisher in the spring of 2013! Words can’t describe how blessed we feel to be expanding our family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition.”
The 33-year-old actress also tweeted, “So happy to finally be able to share our news! @NickSwisher & I r expecting our 1st baby in 2013! Feeling so blessed & beyond excited!”
Garcia, who recently starred in the sitcom “Animal Practice,” is best known for her role as Cheyenne on the hit comedy “Reba.”
Swisher, 31, is a professional baseball player who played right field for the New York Yankees. (Interesting fact – Garcia’s character on “Reba” was also married to a professional athlete.)
The couple, who got engaged in May 2010, were married in December 2010 at the Breakers Hotel & Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Bridesmaids included friends and fellow actresses Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Reba McEntire.
