Yesterday, we found out that Shakira is temporarily replacing Christina Aguilera on The Voice for Season 4.
Today, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer announced more exciting news.
She’s having a baby!
The 35-year-old is expecting her first child with FC Barcelona central defender, Gerard Pique, 25. The couple, who went public with their relationship in March 2011, are so excited by the news of the pregnancy that they are literally dropping everything to bask in the glow.
She confirmed the news on her website writing, “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time, we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”
Shakira was set to appear in the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but says, “This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival… I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding. Big kiss!”
While her due date is yet to be unannounced, some are speculating her baby will be here in early 2013.
