It’s a girl!
Maybelline model and “Dancing With the Stars” alum, Josie Maran gave birth to a little bundle of joy on Sunday, July 1 in the backyard of her Pennsylvania farm.
The proud mama and her husband, photographer and director Ali Alborzi, welcomed a baby girl who weighed in at 7.5 pounds and measured 20 inches.
According to People, she had planned for a water birth behind the barn of her farm, and when the time came, the plan worked out perfectly. She was in labor for four hours before meeting her “heavenly creature,” as she called the little one in a celebratory tweet Monday morning.
It’s the second child for Maran, 34,and Alborzi, who already have a daughter – 6 year-old Rumi Joon.
Throughout her pregnancy, Maran shared her excitement for her expanding family in a blog on People. On March 20, she wrote:
“I bet I know what you want to ask me: Is it a boy or a girl? Well, we love to be surprised. And I really can’t imagine a better surprise than meeting this little person who’s going to be at the center of our lives forever! We’re looking forward to welcoming our new little munchkin.”
Given that they left her gender a surprise, the little girl has not yet been named, but we’re sure Mom and Dad are hard at work coming up with a good one!
