Big news! The Rancics are having a boy!
At Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s baby shower on Sunday in Los Angeles, Bill spilled the sex of the baby, saying “We are beyond excited to be having a little boy.”
The couple announced in April that they were expecting a baby via surrogate. Married in 2007, their long journey to expand their family despite fertility issues was documented on the show “Giuliana & Bill.” But in the fall, they had to halt fertility treatments as Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.
“At the end of the day, whether you have a baby naturally, through adoption, through surrogacy, it’s your baby,” she said in an interview on the Today show just weeks before the baby announcement. “You’re going to love that baby and that’s all that matters.”
Giuliana told E! News, “We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey.”
While they haven’t settled on a baby name yet, the couple is sure of one thing – their little boy will be very loved. “We are so ready for everything that comes with being a new mom and dad!”
In fact, in a recent interview with People magazine, Giuliana shared her desire for an even bigger family:
“Bill’s like, ‘How many kids are we talking about?’ I’m like, ‘As many as we can get!’ When you fight so hard for something, and want something so badly, you forget the planning for college costs, the struggle.”
