Get Your Fave Celebumom Red-Carpet Looks for Less

In Style magazine’s experts searched for lower-cost versions of the most gorgeous gowns of the year. Three of my favorite celebumom frocks are showcased, along with similar styles that you could pick up at “it’s a steal!” prices.

Jessica Alba’s violet Grecian Marchesa dress from the 2008 Oscars is featured, and In Style notes that pregnant, or not, this “long, flowing cut looks stunning on tall ladies (or those faking it with stilettos).” They suggest checking out Favian’s Feathered Dress, $318, at edressme.com.

Reese Witherspoon’s yellow Nina Ricci cocktail dress from the 2007 Golden Globes is another In Style favorite. The color is bold, but perfect for spring and summer. There is a strapless yellow gown at edressme.com for $198 that almost identical to Reece’s dress.

I was also excited to find Jennifer Lopez’s beaded Marchesa gown from the 2007 Oscars featured, because with all that detail, I figured it would be hard to find something similar for less. In Style says that “a flowing empire dress [like Jennifer’s] is a beautiful and flattering option for pear-shape figures.” They found a pale gray dress by Faviana for $358, at serendipityprom.com, that is pretty similar.
