Looking your best can be a tricky proposition. You will be able to find advice from all corners when its comes to finding information on how to maintain your vibrant youthful looks. While the abundance of tips proliferated by magazines, websites and media may seem daunting, don’t fret. Try a few simple beauty tips and determine if they have the promised result and leave you feeling happy, healthy and educated.
Create a Lip Tint
If you are looking for some added color, but don’t want the heaviness of lipstick, consider crafting a lip tint using your favorite hue. To make your soft tint, use a toothpick or butter knife to remove a dime-sized portion of your favorite lipstick from the tube. Place this in a bowl, and mix it with 2 tbsp. petroleum jelly. The resulting gel will both moisturize and tint your lips, creating a tantalizingly natural look.
Treat Cellulite
Many women wage war with cellulite daily, slathering expensive creams onto their bodies. Instead of investing money in these creams, use coffee grounds as an inexpensive and simple cellulite treatment. Simply save your morning grounds, and spread them onto your cellulite prone areas before you shower. Rub the grounds in well, stimulating the skin. The caffeine in the coffee grounds will do that same thing as many of the commercial creams, which also contain large quantities of caffeine.
Zap Zits
Don’t let a zit ruin your day; instead, zap it with some toothpaste. If you notice a raised spot, promising a shiny new zit in the morning, dab some toothpaste on it before you go to bed. The toothpaste will help soothe the zit and prevent oil from gathering over the potential blemish. In the morning, you will likely find the size of the spot noticeably reduced.
Eliminate Under-Eye Darkness
Too little sleep and too much work–or partying–can leave any woman with unsightly dark circles. To cover this unwanted pigmentation effectively, select a concealer that is slightly lighter than your natural hue. Look for something peachy in tone, as peach downplays darkness and transforms your under-eye region into a perfectly matched patch of skin.
Shampoo and Condition Strategically
While the task may seem simple, washing and conditioning can lead to hair damage if not done strategically. When washing, focus your efforts on the roots. Your tips are not likely dirty; scrubbing them will remove moisture from your tender tendrils and leave them prone to splitting. Keep your conditioner away from your roots, where it will only lead to lifeless, volume-free locks. Spread it liberally on the tips. While this practice is more complicated than your standard shampoo, continued practice can greatly enhance your hair health.
