Trendy Summer Hairstyles
Summer is the time when easy and carefree are the norms. It is the time when you can opt for a more fun and relaxed look starting from your outfit to your hairstyle. When it comes to hairstyles, summer is the time to experiment on trendy styles. Choices vary to suit every hair length that you can wear, whether you are at the beach or dinner party.
Bob Cut
A bob cut is still one of the favorite summer hairstyles that never goes out of style. It is easy to maintain–just wash it and let it air-dry. The bob cut is ideal on short and medium-length hair. It comes in different variations including bob cut with bangs, no bangs and curly bob. The length of the hair is just at the chin or below the earlobes. Some bob cuts have even cuts while others are asymmetrical and layered.
An inverted bob cut has the front portion of the hair longer than the back. Longer layers of hair will frame the front of your face. Wear your bob cut parted sideways, or, if you prefer, part your hair in the middle.
Pixie Cut
The pixie or crop hair cut is another trendy summer hairstyle, which is much shorter than the bob cut. It has a boyish-cut length but with a feminine look. It works well with an oval-shaped and fine-boned face and medium-textured straight hair. The pixie cut has bangs with the ears showing and the back side reaching just above the neck and often thinned using a shaver or shears. Just like the bob cut, the pixie cut is easy to maintain. After washing, just pat and air-dry your hair. However, using a flat iron, hair wax and some hair spray can add style to your pixie cut.
Flairing-Ends Hairstyle
The flairing-ends summer hairstyle is ideal for medium-length hair. It has layers with flicked-out ends that flair outward with the bangs sweeping to one side. Style your hair using a volumizing hair-care product, and brush your hair downward in an angle. Applying styling cream to your bangs will help sweep them to one side. Using a curler or curling iron adds emphasis to the flairing ends. Help flair ends flick out by applying some gel and combing it through. Hair spray helps stabilize the ends.
Beachy Curls
Another hairstyle for summer that is ideal for a medium-length hair is the beachy-curls style. It has swept bangs with curled tresses using barrel curling iron to create small, loose curls three-fourths of the way up. Tousling the hair and applying hair spray will add volume and hold the curls in place.
Beachy Wave
Beachy wave is a summer hairstyle for you if you have long hair. In contrast to beachy curls, beachy wave uses bigger curling irons on your tresses to create big curls that will turn into waves, giving you a flirty look. Applying mousse while the hair is still wet before styling prevents the hair from flattening. Using your fingers to comb the beachy wave will keep the wavy look intact.
