Natural Beauty Skin Care Tips

Keeping your skin looking nice does not need to require a great number of ingredients or chemical products. Many women prefer to let their natural beauty shine through, skipping the numerous skin preparations in favor of a fresh look. Although your skin may suffer damage from environmental pollutants and natural elements, caring for your skin can improve its texture and appearance. Caring for your skin and letting your natural beauty shine through does not require a lot of make-up, cosmetic gunk, time or money.

Unpack Your Bags

Many women notice puffy, baggy skin below their eyes. Although this can be a symptom of too little sleep, these bags may appear for no noticeable reason. Use a natural anti-inflammatory to reduce the appearance of these unsightly bags. Brew two chamomile tea bags. Remove the bags from your water and squeeze out the excess moisture gently. Place in a plastic sandwich bag and set in your refrigerator until cool, about 20 to 30 minutes. Place the chilled bags over your closed eyes, allowing them to remain in place until they become warm.

Become a Sunscreen Queen

The ultraviolet light from the intense rays of the sun can damage and age your skin. Even natural beauties benefit from sun protection. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen preparation with a sun protection factor (SPF) higher than 15. Apply your sunscreen about 20 minutes before going outdoors. Reapply every two hours to maintain a helpful level of sun protection.

Keep It Clean

Treat your skin with tender, loving care, especially during cleansing. Use a gentle cleanser that won’t strip the protective oils from your skin. Choose a cleanser formulated for sensitive skins if you have allergies to perfumes or dyes. Avoid hot water when bathing or washing your face. Keep the water temperature slightly warm and limit your soaking to about 15 minutes.

Moisturize

Keep your skin supple and moist by applying a rich emollient, such as petroleum jelly. According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), petroleum jelly provides a number of uses in caring for your skin. Use this ingredient on rough, chapped skin, such as your heels, elbows and cuticles. Apply a small dab to your lips to moisturize and provide shine, while keeping your appearance natural and wholesome.
