What To Wear For Summer? Ask Suzie

Summer stripes are here! One great new fashion trend you should definitely wear this season is stripes.  When you are thinking about getting out in the sunshine think about wearing classic stripes. 

This season, stick to buying (or pulling from the back of the closet) those nautical blues.   Pair a striped blue top with jeans and great accessories for summer great summer look that is sure to turn heads. 

Stripes are classic and classy.  Whether you choose a great striped dress or a striped blouse to wear with classic white pants or your favorite denim jeans, your look will appear classy, chic and glamorous.  You can even put on your favorite jeans with a plain white t-shirt then throw on that amazing stripe sweater to polish off your look. 

Get striped- all over!  What’s best about this seasons look is that it doesn’t only have to come from the clothes you are wearing.  It may come from a great pair of stripped sunglasses, a beautiful stripped hat or that perfect striped tote.  I recently wore a pair of jeans with a solid colored t-shirt then paired it with stripped wooden wedges.  I accessorized it with a great belt and some bangle bracelets and I felt comfortable in a very casual, stylish way.  

Many women question whether or not they can wear stripes and the answer is YES!  Stripes are a women’s fashion staple each summer.  When paired with the right piece, stripes can really enhance your figure while keeping your look stylish and up to date. 

Traditionally, horizontal stripes have a classic nautical feel while pinstripes give off a more professional and business-like look.  Vertical stripes will be more forgiving as they tend to give an elongated look to your body.  Vertical striped pants or skirts will make you look taller as you pair it with a solid colored t-shirt.

The best tip I have for wearing stripes is not to overdo the stripes.  One great stylish piece with a solid top will keep you in style and take you far.  Remember the piece could be a great striped scarf or striped tote over your shoulder.
