Happy Independence Day!
One of the things I love so much about this site is our joint worldwide community and combined passion for well-being. Thank you for enriching my life and for giving me an opportunity to share my heart with you. Words often don’t seem like enough to express my full gratitude. I hope you can feel your presence here means so much.
This holiday weekend, we’ll be celebrating by gathering with family, and I am certain some good food and yummy drinks will be involved. One of the greatest gifts my children have taught me is that it doesn’t take a lot to make a day extra special. A few simple decorations made from things around the house, a special dish, big smiles and an open heart are all you really need to celebrate. Wishing all of my American friends a very happy 4th of July!
Sending much love and warm wishes your way! See you on Tuesday with a new recipe to share.
*An interesting fact I learned on Wikipedia – John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were the only signers of the Deceleration of Independence who later became presidents, both died on the same day – the 50th anniversary of the Declaration, July 4, 1826. As well James Monroe, who did not sign the Declaration but is considered a founding father, died on July 4, 1831 making him the 3rd president in a row to die on that day.
With love & gratitude,
Wendy Irene
