Sometimes it helps to ask a pro to take a look back. If hindsight is 20/20, then Julie Morgenstern is an expert in every sense of the word. In addition to being a professional organizer, speaker, and Founder of Julie Morgenstern Enterprises, she is a columnist for "O", The Oprah Magazine and the author of four books including one that she co-wrote with her daughter, Jessi entitled Organizing from the Inside Out for Teenagers: The Foolproof System for Organizing Your Room, Your Time, and Your Life.

With her daughter now in college, I talked with Julie and asked her to reflect on the past and share her secrets.
Samantha: Do you have any tricks for avoiding the feelings of guilt that plague so many moms?
Julie: It's fine to be "organized enough." Systems that enable you to focus on your family and yourself are good enough. Don't spend all of your time and energy trying to get organized leaving no time for what's really important. Organized enough is good enough.
