Angelina in Beowulf

I got to see an advance screening of "Beowulf" last night in 3-D and, whew!,  I am still recovering! First of all, I think Angelina provides some fabulous, slithery-sounding vocals for her role as the serpent-like mother of Grendal (the monster who the title character Beowulf must kill to save the village).

What I wasn't counting on was Angelina's bear-it-all bravery. Although she was animated, her character wears gold body paint, and, well, nothing else.

At a press conference for the film, Angelina said she was a bit shocked by her character's nudity. "I got a little shy. I was really surprised that I felt that exposed," she said. Angelina proves that moms can still be sexy, whether she's taking her kids to school in real life in her  trademark black C&C tees or protecting her children from vengeful villagers on the big screen.

And, just a side note, Angelina is not the only one who bares it all for the film. Beowulf is such a manly hero, he does all of his fight scenes completely nude! Funny, I don't remember that from the epic poem. Actor Ray Winston, father to Lois, 25, Jamie, 22, and Ellie, 6, lends his voice and likeness to the character. Together, Ray and Angelina make one scorching combination!

With action, special effects, ancient literature and two hot parents to boot, Beowulf is one wild ride, albeit for adult eyes only. Angelina herself said, her kids won't be seeing the film. "I think it's too much. I don't think they should see their mom that way."
