Daily Baby: Amy Poehler Expecting, Brit Goes Back to Work, Barack’s Daughters Say ‘Boring’ to Dad

Baby Mama star Amy Poehler, 36, is not only pregnant on the big screen — she’s expecting in real life, too. The actress’ rep confirmed that Amy and husband, actor Will Arnet, will welcome their first child this fall. “I’m great with kids,” Amy recently told New York’s Daily News. “I think I’m still a big giant kid. I understand them and usually we’re the same size. I think I understand the way they look up at the world. I get it.”

People magazine reports that Britney Spears arrived bright and early to the Fox Studios in Century City on Tuesday for a script read-through in preparation for her second guest appearance on the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother. The episode will air May 12, the day after Mother’s Day. Hope it goes well the second time around!

Barack Obama confessed to Usmagazine.com that his daughters, Malia, 9, and Sasha, 6, are obsessed with Miley Cyrus and Beyonce, but when it comes to their dad’s presidential campaign… the girls are a decidedly underwhelmed. “When I call them, they say, ‘Daddy, what did you do today?’ I say, ‘Well, I spoke to 35,000 people,’” Barack told Rachael Ray in an interview that aired Tuesday. “It’s like, ‘boring!’” he added. “It’s not interesting.” As for the presidential hopeful, he says campaigning is “thrilling, except I’m not seeing my wife and kids enough.” While on the trail, Barack says that he usually sees his family once a week. Must be tough!
