The Daily Baby: Madonna Goes to Court, Jamie Lynne Passes GED, Diddy Talks Twins

Madonna spent Sunday evening hosting a Beverly Hills post-Oscar soiree that was the talk of Hollywood. She spent the night fabulizing with pals Demi Moore and Tom Cruise and chit-chatting with guests Owen Wilson, Christian Slater, and Eva Mendes. So imagine the crash to earth when, bright and early the next morning, the Material Girl had to rush to another event—jury duty! Rumor has it that the pop diva didn’t get to bed until 4 a.m. after the Oscar fete. She was spotted at the Beverly Hills courthouse looking exhausted, and wearing brown sweats and an Ed Hardy t-shirt. Lucky for her, she was officially dismissed from duty yesterday afternoon.

Jamie Lynne Spears, pregnant with her first child and due to give birth late summer, passed her high school equivalency exam. Pals say her next move is to get high marks on the ACT, an SAT-like test required when applying to college. I sure hope she keeps on this path—it¹s going to be hard work to raise a baby and juggle college classes, but friends say Jamie Lynne is very determined to make it work.

Sean “Diddy” Combs told People magazine this weekend that his former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez will make a “great mother.” Diddy, also the father of twins, had some advice for the new mom. “It’s double the love, and it’s also double the crying and the screaming, so it’s a uniquely blessed situation. It’s a rarity to have twins. She’ll be all right.” He also said he will be sending over some of his Sean John threads for the babies.
