Celeb Moms Lend Voices to WGA Strike

By Natasha Burton

Mother of two Julianne Moore was spotted within the picket lines for the WGA (Writer's Guild of America) strike in New York City yesterday. Although Julianne is predominantly a movie actress, she showed her support by setting up camp with fellow Screen Actors Guild members.

Other moms who are showing support (in both New York and Los Angeles) are Patricia Heaton, mother of four boys, Holly Hunter, mother of twin boys, and Sally Field, mother of three boys. On the West Coast, Sally Field picketed outside of Disney Studios in Burbank, telling reporters that she is showing support as a fellow member of the entertainment field. "[The writers] are not being allowed to participate in the future of the business. [The entertainment industry] can be a very lucrative field, but also incredibly insecure for all of the artists, writers, actors and directors," she said.

Many other celebs are turning out to show their support, including Jay Leno, Eva Longoria, Robin Williams, and the cast of "Grey's Anatomy". These actors have not just brought signs and their voices to the picket lines, but food as well! (Eva brought pizza, while Robin and Jay both picked up some bagels for the strikers).

WGA members are striking in order to gain equal share in the profits of DVD and Internet sales of the shows they write. The last strike, in 1988, lasted 22 weeks. Good thing for reality TV?the strike is already hurting the TV biz. People magazine reports that a "Heroes" spin-off show has already been canned and that most networks will only have regular scheduled programming for our favorite sitcoms and dramas to last 'til January.

Julia Roberts: Forty and Fabulous as Ever

By Natasha Burton

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, Julia Roberts talks about the starring role she plans to have for the rest of her life: "a highly fulfilled and productive stay-at-home mom and wife.? With three adorable kids, Phinnaeus, 2, Hazel, 2, and Henry, four months, and hubby Danny Moder, Julia says, at 40, she couldn't ask for more.

She tells the magazine that marrying Danny was "the most correct decision I've ever made in my life--not that it was even a decision, because it just overtakes you. My whole body knew." She also says that she still wants "to look pretty for him? When [Danny] comes home, I always do this [she pinches her cheeks] so I'll look pretty." As for adding to her brood, Julia says she doesn't think she wants more children. "At this point I'm having so much fun with them. You only have so much energy and you want to put so much energy into each child. I wouldn't know how to have five kids. And they're a really good trio, these three," she said.

Besides sharing her family life, Julia also weighed in on the changes in celebrity journalism today, namely tabloids, saying, ??I think it's just grotesque. It's like a circus sideshow. I don't know why anybody would even want to go into show business these days?it just wouldn't be worth it.? Who better to comment on this issue than world's best-loved actress? Julia mentions one celeb in particular that seems to be lost in the sea of media frenzy??Britney. "I see and hear what's happening to Britney Spears and it's all I can do not to move her into my guest-house and say, 'OK, this is how it's going to be!' And just take care of her." If I were Brit, I would take her up on her offer. With a husband she is excited to look pretty for and three kids she adores, Julia Roberts is happily putting her career and celebrity life aside after years of being in the spotlight. She is a role model for all young celebs, those who might be getting swept up in their own fame.

To read the full article, pick up December's Vanity Fair with Julia on the cover (gorgeous photos inside!) on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on November 7 and nationally on November 13.

Milla’s Traditional Style

By Alison Singh Gee

I've always admired Milla Jovovich's style??she makes casual glam look so right??so I wasn't surprised to find out that she enlisted the Robertson Boulevard-boutique Petit Tresor to design her nursery. A source says the model-actress-designer has ??gone all out? on the room for her first baby, daughter Ever, who was born just a few days ago (on November 5).

Milla chose a theme of elegant little bees and a color scheme of cream and light green. All of the crib bedding was hand embroidered and made in France by Petit Tresor.  According to a friend, ??it's very traditional and very sweet.?

Speaking of Petit Tresor, this little boutique has clearly become the go-to place for starlets if they want to announce their pregnancy??without so much as saying a word. The paparazzi working the sidewalk in front of celeb-mecca The Ivy, just a few blocks down the road, catch wind of stars heading into Petit Tresor and they run up there with their cameras and snap away. Then the camera guys dutifully blast the images of the celeb doing her first round of nursery shopping all over the world. If only birth announcements were this easy! This happened with Tori Spelling before anyone knew she was expecting her baby, Liam, who was born last March. When she was only a few months along, she turned up at Petit Tresor ??dressed to the nines and fully made up,? says a spy who saw her that day, and picked up all sorts of adorable??and pricey??baby things. The paparazzi recorded it all, et voila!, Tori made it clear to everyone who cared that she was ??with child.?

Last month, J.Lo and a friend reportedly shut down Petit Tresor while they shopped ??til they dropped. That's going to be one blinged-out baby??or should I say,  ??babies??
