Julia Roberts: Forty and Fabulous as Ever

By Natasha Burton

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, Julia Roberts talks about the starring role she plans to have for the rest of her life: "a highly fulfilled and productive stay-at-home mom and wife.? With three adorable kids, Phinnaeus, 2, Hazel, 2, and Henry, four months, and hubby Danny Moder, Julia says, at 40, she couldn't ask for more.

She tells the magazine that marrying Danny was "the most correct decision I've ever made in my life--not that it was even a decision, because it just overtakes you. My whole body knew." She also says that she still wants "to look pretty for him? When [Danny] comes home, I always do this [she pinches her cheeks] so I'll look pretty." As for adding to her brood, Julia says she doesn't think she wants more children. "At this point I'm having so much fun with them. You only have so much energy and you want to put so much energy into each child. I wouldn't know how to have five kids. And they're a really good trio, these three," she said.

Besides sharing her family life, Julia also weighed in on the changes in celebrity journalism today, namely tabloids, saying, ??I think it's just grotesque. It's like a circus sideshow. I don't know why anybody would even want to go into show business these days?it just wouldn't be worth it.? Who better to comment on this issue than world's best-loved actress? Julia mentions one celeb in particular that seems to be lost in the sea of media frenzy??Britney. "I see and hear what's happening to Britney Spears and it's all I can do not to move her into my guest-house and say, 'OK, this is how it's going to be!' And just take care of her." If I were Brit, I would take her up on her offer. With a husband she is excited to look pretty for and three kids she adores, Julia Roberts is happily putting her career and celebrity life aside after years of being in the spotlight. She is a role model for all young celebs, those who might be getting swept up in their own fame.

To read the full article, pick up December's Vanity Fair with Julia on the cover (gorgeous photos inside!) on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on November 7 and nationally on November 13.

Milla’s Traditional Style

By Alison Singh Gee

I've always admired Milla Jovovich's style??she makes casual glam look so right??so I wasn't surprised to find out that she enlisted the Robertson Boulevard-boutique Petit Tresor to design her nursery. A source says the model-actress-designer has ??gone all out? on the room for her first baby, daughter Ever, who was born just a few days ago (on November 5).

Milla chose a theme of elegant little bees and a color scheme of cream and light green. All of the crib bedding was hand embroidered and made in France by Petit Tresor.  According to a friend, ??it's very traditional and very sweet.?

Speaking of Petit Tresor, this little boutique has clearly become the go-to place for starlets if they want to announce their pregnancy??without so much as saying a word. The paparazzi working the sidewalk in front of celeb-mecca The Ivy, just a few blocks down the road, catch wind of stars heading into Petit Tresor and they run up there with their cameras and snap away. Then the camera guys dutifully blast the images of the celeb doing her first round of nursery shopping all over the world. If only birth announcements were this easy! This happened with Tori Spelling before anyone knew she was expecting her baby, Liam, who was born last March. When she was only a few months along, she turned up at Petit Tresor ??dressed to the nines and fully made up,? says a spy who saw her that day, and picked up all sorts of adorable??and pricey??baby things. The paparazzi recorded it all, et voila!, Tori made it clear to everyone who cared that she was ??with child.?

Last month, J.Lo and a friend reportedly shut down Petit Tresor while they shopped ??til they dropped. That's going to be one blinged-out baby??or should I say,  ??babies??

The Mommywood Weekend Report

By Lolita Carrico

Some tidbits about three mommy pop stars this morning!

Britney went shopping for chandeliers this weekend, leaving the kids in her car with the court-appointed person supervising her visitation. Looking at the pictures of the kids in the car close-up reveals not only dirty faces, but dirty teeth.

Could it be donuts from the local Krispy Kreme? Doritos? Seriously Brit, use a wipey and a toothbrush straight away! Or ask the court-appointed person, your assistant, manny, TMZ camera guy -- anyone to do it?

On to some happier news: Christina Aguilera is pregnant! Officially that is! The mom-to-be tells the new issue of Glamour magazine that she is going to ??enter into mommyhood? at the start of next year?

Perez Hilton reported that Victoria Beckham, mom to Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, will guest star on Ugly Betty this week! Vera Wang, also a mom of two girls, will also make a cameo in the episode so don't forget to tune in to ABC this Thursday night.

Product I LOVE: MILKSCREEN

By Lolita Carrico

Finally, moms can relax after a long day with a glass of wine without worrying about traces of alcohol getting into their breast milk. Dennis Quaid's wife, Kimberly, and three other moms have developed some great products through their company, Upspring, and Milkscreen is by far my favorite. Milkscreen is a simple, two-minute test for nursing moms who might want to have a glass of chardonnay or two with dinner but don't want to negatively affect the health of their baby, aslcohol can remain in the body for several hours. The test analyzes breast milk for the presence of alcohol, providing a clear positive or negative reading. Upspring believes that such technology encourages women to breastfeed longer: no more self-imposed prohibition! The test cost $19.99 for eight strips and you can pick it up at Drugstore.com and Amazon.com.

Upspring products have a wide celeb fan-base including Marcia Cross, Naomi Watts, Tori Spelling, Keri Russell, Jill Fink and Patrick Dempsey.

Katie Holmes Runs the NYC Marathon, Almost Incognito

By Natasha Burton

Katie Holmes was spotted crossing the finish line with thousands of runners participating in Sunday's New York City Marathon. She finished the race in five hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds, casting aside those recent pregnancy rumors. Apparently, people only noticed who she was when Tom Cruise and Suri were seen at the finish line to congratulate her. Later that night, Katie traded her running shoes for high heels to attend an event with Tom.

Although Katie didn't win the marathon, another modern mom did. Paula Radcliffe, of Great Britain finished in two hours, 23 minutes, nine seconds. Not only did she make great time, but she had a baby merely nine months ago!

If you're interested in running a marathon here in Los Angeles, the L.A. Marathon is on March 2, 2008. Check out http://www.lamarathon.com for more info.
