Name That Thanksgiving Quote!

By Natasha Burton

Before we all turn the oven up to 500 degrees and get elbow-deep in mashed potatoes, let's take a deep breath and enjoy these hilarious Thanksgiving quotes from some great TV actresses -- all of them moms either on or off the screen. These comic lines remind us that it doesn't matter how badly burnt the turkey gets or how terrible the stuffing tastes as long as everyone we love is sitting around the table. Have a wonderful holiday!

"Don't you judge me. I have a family that won't let me cook for Thanksgiving dinner, I have a father who is using me for my candied yams, and we are out of Merlot!"

- Kirsten, mom to Seth and Ryan, on The O.C. (played by Kelly Rowan)

"If Thanksgiving were a concert the turkey would be Cher."

 - Reba on Reba (played by Reba McEntire, mother of Shelby, 17)

"You know, I really think I can put together a great Thanksgiving dinner. This'll be the second one that I've cooked, and believe me, the first one  was not the disaster that my family said it was. Those kids had a pretty good time in that ambulance."

- Rebecca on Cheers (played by Kristie Alley, mother of William, 16, and Lillie, 14)

"Thanksgiving, tomorrow, four o'clock. Guess who I invited? Do you remember that guy Will Cobert from high school? He was in Ross' class marching band. He was kinda overweight... really overweight... I was his thin friend."

- Monica on Friends (played by Courteney Cox, mom of Coco, 3)

"Oh, Gregory, darling, every bride thinks she wants to cook a Thanksgiving dinner and it always ends up the same. Someone cries, someone is rushed to the emergency room and a perfectly lovely bird gets wasted. Which, if I don't eat soon, will be me."

- Kitty, Greg's mother, on Dharma and Greg (played by c)

"Except that Jackie's a transvestite. Getting a bit long in the tooth for it too, if you ask me. Last Thanksgiving he ate too much turkey and I had to cut him out of his pantyhose."

- Daphne on Frasier (played by Jane Leeves, mom of Isabella, 6, and Finn, 4)

Celeb Dads Support Mother Earth!

By Natasha Burton

Last week, we talked about celeb moms who are doing great things for the planet, but it turns out celeb dads are doing their share, too. Here are two leading men who are saving the world in real life.

Dad Matt Damon shows his "green" sprit through his work with GreenDimes, a service that reduces up to 90 percent of your postal junk mail. Each year more than 100 million trees are destroyed and 28 billion gallons of water used to create junk mail that nobody wants.

For a one-time $15 fee, GreenDimes hunts down the companies that send you  junk mail and gets your name off their lists. The service not only drastically reduces your consumer junk mail, it also plants 10 trees for each of its members. Just think, if everyone signed up, there would be no more annoying junk mail, and more trees, too. People's recently crowned Sexiest Man Alive, Matt serves as a Green Dimes spokesman of sorts, often mentioning the org on various morning shows and in interviews and gifted the service to members of his family. For more information, or to sign up for the service, go to: http://www.greendimes.com

On the other side of the pond in London, Colin Firth, father of Will, 17, Luca, 6, and Mateo, 4, has plans to open Eco, a boutique devoted to bringing fair trade and earth savvy products to London consumers. Firth, best known for his roles as the sexy good guy in Love Actually and Bridget Jones'Diary, and his wife and business-partner Livia will  host art exhibits and designer trunk shows of environmentally friendly duds.

Eco will also sell  green wares like organic cotton clothes and solar-powered cell phone chargers.

Julia Roberts Debuts Baby Henry

By Natasha Burton

Julia Roberts unveiled her youngest son, Henry who was born this past June, on her friend Oprah Winfrey's show yesterday. Of the arrival of her little boy Julia said,

"He just completed us," she says. "We're complete. We're a good five-some."

Julia also boasted her son's cute factor. "I have to say, little Henry's the sweetest child known to mankind," Julia said on the show. "I think I can say that objectively," she joked.

Oprah agreed, saying that she got to meet little Henry when she popped by Julia's hotel room before the show. "Henry is the cutest munchkin," Oprah said. "He's just the cutest baby boy."

Tom Hanks, who was also on the show yesterday with Julia, promoting their new movie "Charlie Wilson's War," disagreed, jokingly. "I didn't find Henry as cute," Tom said, smiling. "I thought, 'He's small, and he smells good. He has an innocent baby-like quality to him.' But as far as being off the scale cute, I found him to be like an 8 or a 9 on a scale of 10."
