How Christina Aguilera is Prepping for Body After Baby

By Natasha Burton

Mommywood hears that singer Christina Aguilera, due with her first baby early next year, has already started prepping to get back her pre-pregnancy body. She recently requested items from Mama Mio: a maternity product line which includes everything she needs to restore her glowing looks, from oils, to lotions, to body wash for tummies, breasts, and stretch marks.

And Christina isn't the only one using Mama Mio, - Milla Jovovich, who gave birth earlier this month to her daughter, Ever, just requested several yummy potions from the line and Christy Turlington named Mama Mio as her "pregnancy pick" before giving birth to her son Fin just two years ago. (She also has a daughter, Grace, who is four.)

The Mama Mio line is designed with one thing in mind: increasing skin elasticity. The secret ingredient? Essential Fatty Acid-rich oils (EFAs), which help maintain the suppleness and elasticity of skin. Not only does the product line look good on paper, but it's founders are equally credible. Mama Mio was created by three mothers, who collectively have 40 years experience in the beauty industry and, more importantly, a total of 62 years experience in motherhood, with seven

pregnancies between them!

Check out the complete line at www.mamamio.com

Christina's picks:  Tummy Rub Oil, Shower Gel, Body Cream and Wonderful

Balm.

Checking in with The Spice Girls

By Natasha Burton

Mel B. aka Scary Spice may have been robbed of the "Dancing with the Stars" crown last night on the show's season finale, but there's a whole bunch of fun news to report from Spice World to make up for the upset.

The fab five recently got a surprise visit from some A-list friends. According to the Spice Girls' Web site, "Tom [Cruise] and Katie [Holmes] enjoyed an impromptu audience with the girls and were treated to an exclusive performance, while Suri danced along to the music."

In addition to little Suri, The Spice Girls' own children have been hanging out on the set and during rehearsals. Just the other day, Victoria's son Cruz grabbed Sporty Spice Melanie C's hoodie during rehearsal so he could try it on and Geri's little girl, Bluebell, enjoys picking up a microphone while on set to belt a few out just like her mama.

The Girls have been blogging about their rehearsals and music video shoots on their website for weeks, and Ginger Spice Geri said that the whole reunion has been magical. "We're working hard and it's like we've never been apart -- it's been the most wonderful experience being back in Spice World," she said.

And they have more to be excited about than their reunion tour kicking off next week. The Spice Girls Greatest Hits CD went platinum in less than two weeks! You can pick up your copy at any Victoria's Secret store or purchase online at www.victoriassecret.com.

The Spice Girl's Los Angeles performance is just one week away, and I'm crossing my fingers that I win that pair of tickets I am bidding on through eBay. If you can't make it to one of their shows, be sure to check out the Spice Girls' performances during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which airs on CBS, at  10 pm, on Tuesday December 4th.

Salma Hayek’s Valentina Takes A Bow

By Lolita Carrico

Salma Hayek revealed the a photo her two-month old baby girl Valentina Paloma--and she is just gorgeous! Look at that hair!

Valentina is Salma and fiancé  Francois-Henri Pinault's first child together. Salma, 41, may have waited to have a child but the years only made her sure of one thing: "Motherhood is not for everyone. It is for me," she said.

Long Hair for Boys: A Celebumom Do or Don’t?

By Natasha Burton

For rock stars, hippies, and Rastafarians man-mane is completely acceptable, but what do you think about celebumoms' little guys who sport long hair?

Kate Hudson's son Ryder, 3, is known for his surfer-boy long locks, which often leads him to be mistaken for a girl in photos. Kate has said on numerous occasions that Ryder insists on keeping his hair long. One recent photo of Ryder and Kate sparked a People magazine reader to write a letter, saying "I'm sure he would look absolutely adorable if he looked like a little boy instead of a little girl." This seemed a bit harsh to me, he's just a kid!

Celine Dion told People that her son Rene-Charles, 6, also doesn't want to part with his long hair. In an interview with her in this week's issue, the singer says, "Everyone asks me why I don't cut it. He doesn't want to!" Celine¹s hubby Rene, says it's actually Celine that doesn't want to chop off Rene-Charles' lengthy locks. Hmmm...

What do you think? Should young kids have a say in their hair-styles? Does it matter if boys who have long hair look like girls or that little girls with short hair are mistaken for boys? Tell us on the Mommywood Message Boards...

Review: Enchanted is One Magical Ride

By Natasha Burton

Rated PG

Starring:

Amy Adams; James Marsden, dad to Jack, 6, and Mary, 2; Patrick Dempsey, dad to Tallulah, 5, Darby, nine months, and Sullivan, nine months; Susan Sarandon, mom to Eva, 22, Jack, 18, and Miles, 15

As a fan of Disney's classic princess movies, I couldn't wait to go out and see "Enchanted" over the Thanksgiving weekend and the movie more than exceeded my expectations. The movie tells the story of Giselle, your typical animated Disney princess, who is hurled down a waterfall by an evil queen and ends up in "real-life" New York City, where she meets up with Patrick Dempsey and teaches those around her the meaning of true love.

There's something for everyone in this movie -- lots of laughs, pretty dresses, fun song-and-dance numbers, and cute furry characters for the kids, and romance, attractive men(Patrick and James both play princes in their own ways). You'll also find tons of throwback jokes referencing old Disney movies for moms and dads.

In fact, when I went to see it, half the audience was made up of adults! The actors were all fantastic, Amy and James's storybook princess and prince were just over the top enough to still be believable, Patrick was as McDreamy as always, and Susan Sarandon was sexily scorching as the evil queen (but not too scary for the kids).

"Enchanted" is definitely a film for the whole family to enjoy, with its balance of adventure, fantasy, and romance.
