Christina Shows off Her Baby Bump (& more)

Christina Aguilera joins other blossoming body-loving celebumoms-to-be by baring it all while pregnant for Marie Claire magazine. (The issue will be on newsstands December 11.) The pop diva reveals to the magazine how she prepped for pregnancy and why she evaded the �??is she or isn't she�?� questioning for so long.

In honor of all stars who have shown off their baby bumps, here are some of the most iconic celeb-pregnancy magazine covers:

1. Demi Moore, Vogue, August 1991. In one of the most revolutionary magazine covers ever (shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz), Demi appears pregnant with her second daughter, Scout LaRue.

2. Cindy Crawford, W, June 1999. Cindy was pregnant with her son, and first child, Presley, when she shot this cover, one of the many she has done throughout her modeling career. She gave birth on July 2, just over month after the magazine hit newsstands.

3. Gwyneth Paltrow, W, June 2004. Shown pregnant with her daughter Apple, Gwyneth posts for a cover that offers a new take on the bump-baring photo. This issue debuted just as Apple was born, on May 14, 2004.

4. Britney Spears, Harper's Bazaar, August 2006. While six-months pregnant with her second son, Jayden James, Britney emulated Demi's striking photos with this cover and accompanying photo spread.

5. Britney Spears, Q, November 2006.  A second cover for Britney and soon-to-be born Jayden! This very airbrushed cover reverts to Britney's role as a male-fantasy.

How Sexy Should Pregnant Women Be?

Maxim, the often-raunchy men's magazine, made a list of �??The Nine Hottest Pregnant Women, Ever,�?� which includes Halle Barry, Heidi Klum, and Christina Aguilera.

Here at Mommywood, we often ooh and ah over how gorgeous celebumoms-to-be are with their glowing skin, couture maternity wear, and megawatt smiles �?? even when their ankles are swelling and their hormones are swirling. But how do we feel when a magazine like Maxim ogles these moms-to-be, making comments such as, �??[now] she carries the weight in all the right places�?�?

What do you think about their hot preggers list? Does it glorify pregnant celebs just make the rest of us feel schlumpy, bloated and inadequate? Are pregnant women only valued if they're hot?

Nicole Richies Baby Shower Photos!

Mommywood reported last week that Nicole Richie had her first baby shower, a �??Wizard of Oz�?�-themed soiree, and you can see all the fantastic details--gingham table cloths, a yellow brick road and a lollipop-filled candy bar�??on InStyle.com.

The party, given by Nicole's mom and attended by pals Paris and Nicky Hilton, Rashida Jones, and Amber Valletta, also featured unconventional shower activities, like a booth for guests to try on fake eye lashes and temporary tattoos. I wonder if dad-to-be and rock-bander Joel inspired this detail?

While the Beverly Hills affair spared no expense, InStyle reports that in lieu of extravagant gifts, Richie and Madden asked their guests to bring their favorite children's book so they can start a library for their little one. Guests were also encouraged to donate to the couple's recently formed charity, The Richie Madden Children's Foundation, by bringing a second gift as well. These gifts will be donated through Nicole and Joel's organization, providing 100 mom-to-be kits to less fortunate families in the L.A. area. Shower guest Rashida Jones said of the couple's choice to donate some presents, "With all the swag these days, we're given so much stuff it's almost wasteful, and it's kind of nice when we're giving to each other to give to someone else."

Julia Roberts Designs for Armani

Mom of three Julia Roberts has designed a bracelet for Giorgio Armani to sell for World AIDS Day, Reuters reports.

Celebumoms have always been significant in the fashion world--Angelina Jolie and Liv Tyler have posed in designers' ad campaigns, for St. John and Givenchy respectively, and mom Milla Jovovich has posed for Armani's ads--however Julia's creation marks a first of sorts. While Victoria Beckham has designed for Rock & Republic, no celebumom has ever designed for a fashion label of Armani's caliber, and, even more significantly, this is the first time the Italian designer has worked with another name on a product--ever.

"Julia has helped to create a beautiful accessory ... a visible reminder of the part that we can all play in fighting AIDS in Africa," Armani said in a statement. The Oscar-winning actress has often worn Armani gowns to movie premieres and other red-carpet events and is a long-standing friend of the designer.

Julia's bracelet is made from leather and is available in either red or brown. The design on it is called a "Tree of Life" and each piece carries the initials �??J.R, Armani�?� inside.

Mommywood’s Mid-Week Report

Birth:

Usher, 29, and his wife, Tameka Foster, 36 welcomed a baby boy on Monday night. A source told People magazine that Usher was with his wife and new child Tuesday at an Atlanta hospital, and the family is expected to head home on Wednesday. More details to come!

Pregnant:

"Sex and the City" actor Chris Noth, 53, and girlfriend Tara Wilson, are expecting their first child. Tara, who is five months along, and Chris will co-star in the upcoming drama "Frame of Mind."

Elizabeth Rohm, 34, who formerly starred on Law and Order, is expecting her first child her fiancé, entrepreneur Ron Wooser. The couple is expecting a girl, who they will name Easton -- Elizabeth told People magazine the name came to her in a dream.
