Nicole Kidman on Her Husbands, Natural Childbirth + Motherhood at 40
New mom Nicole Kidman looks stunning on the cover of November's Elle and inside she dishes on motherhood, her new daughter Sunday Rose, husband Keith Urban and what she learned during her marriage to Tom Cruise. Here's a sneak peek at the interview hitting newsstands on October 14:
-On her protectiveness as a mother: “When it comes to my kids, I’m just like a lioness. I’m like, No one gets near my babies! That’s why we chose not to sell the photos of her. We just want to have our little cocoon.”
-On natural childbirth: “It was the most beautiful thing to go through with him [husband Keith Urban]. I had a great team of women, too. At one point there were nine women in the room and Keith.”
-On becoming a mother later in life: “At 41, it’s a more painful love. I look at that little girl, and I’m, like, 'Oh, no, what’s going to happen?' It’s almost like my heart is stretching; I’m feeling all these muscles stretch with emotion. It’s a beautiful love but there’s a lot of fear and pain for her life, and for Bella’s and Connor’s life. I like to believe that nothing was stopping Sunday from coming into the world.”
-On husband Keith Urban: “He’s the greatest man besides my dad I’ve ever met. He’s loyal and he’s a soul searcher. He’ll kill me for…He’s very very private.”
-On the lessons she learned during her first marriage to Tom Cruise: “That was an extraordinary thing for me. [Tom] taught me an enormous amount – as a girl into a woman. Absolutely, I would do it again.”

It’s On! Jenny McCarthy vs. Amanda Peet on the Topic of Childhood Vaccines
In the August issue of Cookie magazine, actress Amanda Peet blasted parents who don't vaccinate their children and went so far as to call them "parasites." Now, Jenny McCarthy, an outspoken supporter of "Green Our Vaccines" who challenges the effect of immunizations in autistic children, is fighting back in the newest issue of Spectrum Magazine.
"(Peet) has a lot of balls to come forward and be on that side, because there is an angry mob on my side, and I like the fact that I can say she's completely wrong,'' McCarthy says in the issue hitting newsstands on Wednesday.
McCarthy, whose 6-year old son Evan is autistic, adds “I look at (Peet) now and say to myself, 'That was me before I had autism in my life,’ and until she walks in our shoes, she really has no idea."

Sharon Stone Loses Custody of Oldest Son
E! News reports that Sharon Stone has lost a custody battle over her 8-year old son, Roan.
A judge ruled that Stone's ex-husband Phil Bronstein "shall have permanent sole physical custody" because the newspaper publisher can "provide a more structured continuity, stable, secure and consistent home."
Stone and Bronstein adopted Roan in 2000 before divorcing in 2004. The star has two other younger sons whom she adopted after her marriage.

Lipstick Jungle star Kim Raver’s Advice to Other New Moms
Lipstick Jungle's Kim Raver graces the cover of Cookie's October issue with her two sons and inside, she dishes about juggling her thriving career and family, heading back to work just weeks after giving birth, and more. Here's a sneak peek at the interview:
- On returning to work to the set of Lipstick Jungle after having her second son Leo just weeks after giving birth… “It was important to me to experience both nursing Leo and recovering from having him. I’d be in a fitting trying to squeeze into clothes, and I’d think, I’m not doing this. There’s going to be more milk, and healthier milk, if I’m eating well, and I’m already stressed out because of my work level.”
- On her body image after having a baby: “I remember crying at one photo shoot because I couldn’t get into the dresses I’d normally fit into. Brooke [Shields, her costar] was so lovely. She reminded me that [this period is just] a short window.”
- Raver’s message to other new moms: “Remember to love the body you’re in after having a baby. You’re not sleeping. You’re juggling one, two, or three kids. If it’s emotionally satisfying at three or four in the morning, when the baby won’t go back to sleep, have a piece of chocolate! While you nurture your baby, it’s important to nurture yourself.”
The issue hits newstands on September 23rd. Read more at CookieMag.com.
