Daily Baby: Shocking Splits, Kelly Ripa Is Most-Admired Mom
Actress Kelly Rowan, 43, known for her role on The O.C., has split from her fiancé, David Thomson, who is Canada’s richest man, just weeks after giving birth to their baby girl, according to the New York Daily News.
Rumors are circling that Jodie Foster and her long-time love Cydney Bernard, have split according to U.S. tabloid reports. An insider tells the National Enquirer, “Jodie breaking up with Cydney is shocking. Right now it’s the best-kept secret in Hollywood, and it’s not just because Jodie is a legend and an intensely private person, either. She and Cydney have been together for so many years and have two children together, the potential fallout and legal wrangling from this split could be monumental.” The couple has two children together; Charles, nine, and Kit, six.
Multi-tasking morning talk show queen and mom of three Kelly Ripa was voted the most admired celeb mom in a usatoday.com poll. Kelly got 25 percent of the vote, edging out Angelina Jolie, who came in second with 23 percent. Julia Roberts and Jada Pinkett Smith tied for third with 22 percent.

Beautify Your Face Like the Celebumoms Do!
Whether it’s advice on new makeup styles and techniques, or tips on makeup for your wedding day, New York City makeup artist Kimara Ahnert has established a reputation as one of New York’s most prominent. Her custom designed collection of makeup and skin care products and exclusive studio on Manhattan’s Upper East Side have been somewhat of a secret address for models, celebrities, socialites and busy executives. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Amanda Peet, Brooke Shields, Christie Brinkley, Isabella Rossellini and Tipper Gore have all been graced by Kimara’s magic makeup wands.
While makeup trends come and go, Kimara’s philosophy is to transend fashion, by determining skincare regimens and cosmetic palettes that best suit each and every lifestyle. She also believes that clients benefit from a little “makeup education,” so they can learn how to create the professional-caliber looks –sans makeup artists! gasp! I don’t know about you, but I quickly become overwhelmed with choices when I try to keep up with today’s fashion trends while also trying to find a look that flatters me.
Kimara.com has an “Ask Kimara” section. There, customers can ask professionals about colors that would suit them and how to apply product.
Lucky for us, Kimara gave Mommywood her top tips for
moms:
1. Three Must-Have Make-Up Products: Bronzing powder, mascara, and lipstick. (Kimara¹s picks are Super Crème from Kimara, or Revlon’s Color Stay)
2. Her favorite product is bronzer for its versatility. You can use it as a blush, as an all over face powder, or sweep it over the eyes as a contouring eye shadow. (Kate Hudson recently said that bronzer is the one thing always in her make-up bag. Her faves are Stila bronzing gel or Estee Lauder¹s gel or mineral bronzer powder.)
3. Buying makeup online is an easy way to purchase product during baby downtime. Most websites give a 30-day trial period to return product for a full refund.
4. For the mom on the go, keeping eyebrows properly shaped gives you a polished look with minimal effort.
5. Get that Celebumom Glow:
Step 1: Create the perfect foundation by concealing all blemishes and dark circles with a solid foundation stick. Apply with a brush - always - and set with a powder foundation, applied with a sponge.
Step 2: Apply bronzer from the décolletage on up – “I use this on everyone celeb and socialite that has walked though my door,” says Kimara. You can contour the face by using a fan brush on cheekbones, chin and bridge of the nose. Bronzer warms the skin and brightens your eyes. If you want to minimize a larger nose, use a concealer over the bridge and bronze on the side to soften the angles.
Don’t forget the blush – a touch of it adds the right hint of color.

Daily Baby: Angie’s Due Date Revealed, Christie Brinkley Does a Little Dance + more
Today show reporter Natalie Morales revealed on yesterday’s program that another actor spilled the beans about Angelina Jolie’s pregnancy. Dustin Hoffman told her the babies were due Aug. 19.
Christie Brinkley, 54, is a huge fan of Dance Dance Revolution on the Xbox 360. The model and celebumom promoted the game for National Family Fitness Day at the Dunlevy Milbank Center Boys & Girls Club in Harlem, saying that in her New York home, she and daughter Sailor, 9, have been locked in fierce competition. “We were literally doing it for like five hours, we couldn’t stop,” she said.
According to court papers, actress Anne Heche, 38, and mom of Homer, 6, says she can no longer afford to pay the nearly $15,000-a-month in child and spousal support. Her show, Men In Trees, has been cancelled, and, as she wrote in the court papers, “I am continuing to look for work, but I have no offers pending and the impending strike by the Screen Actors Guild reduces my prospects for work even further.” A judge gave the actress a temporary break, saying she didn’t have to pay her next support payment to her ex Coley Laffoon, 34, covering the month of July.

Get Halle’s Post-Baby Bod
Halle Berry’s workout secrets are out! To get back into shape after giving birth to daughter, Nahla, the actress, 41, works out for 60 minutes, five days a week with trainer Ramona Braganza (whose other clients, according to her website, include Jessica Biel and Anne Hathaway), People magazine reports. Ramona’s challenging sessions for Halle include, “three cardio segments – on the elliptical, as well as kickboxing and then a stairs or hill climb. Then, she also does a strength-training routine that include abdominal work and leg exercises.”
But Halle’s body bounce back wasn’t all accomplished through exercise. Halle is reportedly eating the typical lose-weight-the-right-way trifecta of vegetables, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates. She is also staying hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Besides divulging Halle’s post-baby regimen, People.com also has a great photo feature of celebumoms’ secrets to “feel (and look) like a star” post-baby. Check it out here.

Mommywood’s Favorite Quotes of the Week
“I love being pregnant. [It makes] you feel like more like a woman than you’ve ever felt. You just feel like everything about your body is there for your baby.”—Angelina Jolie on the Today show
“Joel actually changes more diapers than I do . . . It’s his time with her. He sings to her, he laughs with her, plays with her. It’s amazing.”—Nicole Richie to Extra
“I can’t say [getting pregnant] was a total accident. Because you’re aware of when you’re being careful and when you’re not. It just happened so soon. I never believed women had to be virgins when they got married, or that a woman has to fall in love with a guy just because they’re having sex. I don’t think sex is a big deal.”—Jessica Alba to Allure magazine (Hmm…is this a good message to her young fans?)
