The Mommywood Weekend Report
![]() |
Will Smith revealed to People magazine over the weekend that his daughter Willow, 7, will follow in her brother Jaden's, 9, footsteps and join dad on the big screen. Jaden played Will's son in "The Pursuit of Happyness," which garnered Will a Best Actor Oscar nomination, and Willow will join her dad in "I am Legend" which hits theatres December 14. "She has a drive," Smith tells People about Willow's movie debut. |
"She has an energy and she just connects to human emotion. I think a big part was probably [seeing] Jaden in 'The Pursuit of Happyness.' She saw what Jaden did, and she was like, 'I want that.'"

Dad-to-be Gabriel Aubry told Extra that he has been hitting the parenting guides to get ready for the early 2008 arrival of his baby with girlfriend Halle Berry. "I've been in preparation mode for five months," he told Extra. "I've read a lot of books." Gabriel also confided to Extra that he especially enjoyed reading Dr. Phil's "Family First." |
In celebumom news this weekend, Britney Spears celebrated her 26th birthday on Saturday night, by partying at the Scandinavian Mansion of Style event in Los Angeles, hosted by fellow mom Sharon Stone, Perez Hilton reports. Brit was joined by pals Alli Sims, Osama Lutfi and Paris Hilton. She was reportedly spotted drinking alcohol, despite her recent stint in rehab and court-ordered drug and alcohol monitoring. Probably not the greatest move if she wants the custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline to go her way.
Also in the birthday groove this weekend was Violet Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's little one. Violet turned two yesterday. Jen and Violet were spotted playing peek-a-boo in a New York City park on Friday, both mom and daughter looking adorable as ever.

Madonna and Guy’s Holiday: Giving is More Important than Getting
It's December, and that means holiday season is officially here!
![]() |
How are celebumoms and dads celebrating? Well, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie take a different approach to the holidays than the average celebrity parents by limiting the amount of gifts they lavish on their children "The kids are only allowed three presents," Ritchie told Extra. |
Sounds a little stingy but, Guy says, their children, Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7 and David, 2, don't seem to mind. "By the time they get to the third present they've had their sugar hit. As long as the kids get three presents at Christmas, everyone's happy," he said.
Various blogs had originally reported that Madonna had completely cancelled Christmas and that her kids wouldn't be getting any thing at all, citing friends who said that she didn't want to spoil her children and make the holidays all about getting, rather than giving.
Either way, sounds like the original material girl has had a personality overhaul if you ask me.
What do you think of Madonna and Guy's approach to holiday gifts for the kids? How many presents do you give your kids?

How Sexy Should Pregnant Women Be?
Maxim, the often-raunchy men's magazine, made a list of ??The Nine Hottest Pregnant Women, Ever,? which includes Halle Barry, Heidi Klum, and Christina Aguilera.
Here at Mommywood, we often ooh and ah over how gorgeous celebumoms-to-be are with their glowing skin, couture maternity wear, and megawatt smiles ?? even when their ankles are swelling and their hormones are swirling. But how do we feel when a magazine like Maxim ogles these moms-to-be, making comments such as, ??[now] she carries the weight in all the right places??
What do you think about their hot preggers list? Does it glorify pregnant celebs just make the rest of us feel schlumpy, bloated and inadequate? Are pregnant women only valued if they're hot?
Check out the list here and tell us what you think on our Mommywood message boards...

Dilley Family Sextuplets--All Grown Up!

ABC News PhotoBecki Dilley may not be a celebumom, but giving birth to sextuplets in 1993 certainly gave her supermom status.
Becki and her husband Keith's six children, Adrian, Claire, Quinn, Ian, Brenna and Julian, now 14, are full-swing into their teenage years, making the house somewhat calmer for mom and dad. "Keith and I find ourselves alone a lot," Becki told ABC News. "We come home, it's like, 'Where is everybody??
Though, all is hardly quiet on the Dilley front. Instead of frequent diaper changes, feedings, and games of hide-and-seek, Becki and Keith shuttle their kids to school, to extracurricular and social activities, and they supervise everything from dating to make-up and shaving tips.
The Dilley kids are the first set of surviving sextuplets and were born healthy, despite being born earlier than 30 weeks. The children are blessings to Becki and Keith, who had tried to conceive for a year before a doctor told them their chances of having a baby together were slim. Becki decided to take Pergonal, a powerful fertility drug, and voila??six bundles of joy!
Despite the hectic nature of their household, Becki told ABC news that she has no regrets about having her brood all at the same time. "I like having them all at once," Becki said. "The only thing is they're growing up so quickly. So, you kind of just feel like there's this little clock ticking down all the time."
To see the Dilley brood today, check out these videos from ABC News:
