A Bris for Baby Aguilera

By Natasha Burton
Christina & Jordan

Christina Aguilera, 27, and husband Jordan Bratman, 30, introduced their newborn son Max into Judaism with a traditional bris ceremony.  The even formalized Max's middle name, Liron, which means “my song” or “my joy” in Hebrew, and culminated with the traditional circumcision.

The bris ceremony is one of the most important for Judaism practitioners and usually culminates in a party where friends and family can celebrte the child’s introduction to the religion. Although Christina was raised as a Catholic, she has been learning about Judaism since her 2005 marriage to Jordan.

What do you think about circumcision - for religious reasons or otherwise? How did you decide whether or not to circumcise your sons?

Angelina & Brad’s Rumored Plan to Add to Brood

By Natasha Burton
 Jolie-Pitt Family

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly planning to adopt a child, this time from the United States.  Star magazine claims the couple has fallen in love with a little girl whose parents were killed in the Katrina devastation.

A source tells the magazine, "Brad met a little girl and fell completely in love. He and Angie had already decided that their next child would be a daughter. They were originally going to adopt a girl from Africa, but now Brad is sure this child is the one."

Both Angelina and Brad have been putting their philanthropic efforts into helping those who became homeless during Katrina in 2005 find new homes. Brad is a supporter of the Make it Right organization, which is working to rebuild destroyed sections of New Orleans.

If adopted, the new addition to the Jolie-Pitt family will have four brothers and sisters (and playmates!) Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 19 months. However, other news outlets are reporting that Angelina is pregnant, with twins! We’ll have to see who is right when the couple makes an announcement either way. It would seem the couple wouldn’t adopt and have children themselves at the same time -- though you never know!

Meg Ryan Talks for the First Time About Jack and Daisy’s Bond

By Natasha Burton

Meg Ryan, mom to Jack, 15, and Daisy, 3, opened up to Extra about the relationship between her son, of whom she shares custody with his father, Dennis Quaid, and her daughter, who she adopted from China in 2006. "They are such an interesting couple, seeing my 15-year-old carrying my little girl Daisy around, it just fills me up with so much love to see them do that and be that way together," she said. "They are strangely in similar development phases, being three and 15!"

Meg has taken a step back from the spotlight recently, though she was in Sundance this year, promoting her independent comedy, “The Deal.” The hiatus was her idea she said, "I just honestly didn't feel like working…I made a conscious decision to take a break."

The Daily Baby - 1.28.08

By Natasha Burton

Dixie Chick Martie Maguire, 38, and husband, Gareth Maguire, are expecting baby number three. The couple have twin daughters, Eva and Kathleen, who will turn four in April. This time around, Martie told People magazine, "Carrying one instead of two will be much easier." She also revealed that she will be having a girl.

Fred Savage, 31, and his wife, Jennifer Stone are also expecting. The couple will welcome baby number two in May and they plan to keep the sex of the baby a surprise.

Angelina Jolie attended the SAG Awards last night in long, flowing brown gown--is she hiding a pregnancy? During the show, she and Brad were spotted sneaking kisses between awards. Also affectionate were fellow nominees Marion Cotlliard and Cate Blanchett. Marion was photographed with her hands on Cate's baby belly hoping to feel a kick or two.

New mom Nicole Richie has already lost her pregnancy weight! The formerly pin thin actress/socialite gave birth to baby Harlow just two weeks ago and looked sublimely slim in a short black dress while attending a birthday party with her dad Lionel Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden on Friday night.

Heath Ledger's family wrote messages to him to be published in the West Australian newspaper today. His mother's dedication reads: "Our darling boy, special in so many ways to all of us. You knew you were so loved. You lived life with courage and daring and we are so grateful for the wonderful times we shared. We will be there for Matilda." His funeral will be in New York, and is rumored to take place on Sunday. The family has requested no other details be released to the media about the arrangements.

Dad of three David Beckham just returned from West Africa, and wrote about his trip on his blog: "I've just returned from visiting Sierra Leone in Africa as part of my role as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Though I saw many problems and issues to tackle, I was heartened by the incredible and selfless work UNICEF and other agencies are ground on the ground to help...I was also humbled by the people of Sierra Leone, who, despite the problems they face, keep smiling and are hopeful for the future. They made me feel extremely welcome in their country and I will never forget the experience."
