Gadget of the Week: Epson's PictureMate Photo Printer

Designed for ease-of-use and portability, the Epson PictureMate photo printer is a small wonder.

About the size of a standard toaster (or mini stereo), the printer's quality is the best we've seen for home use and the durability of prints rivals those from a professional lab.

We printed a photo and within one minute ran it under water and attempted to smudge it the print held up perfectly.

The portable PictureMate is simple to take along to family reunions or holidays and offers editing, saving and printing direct from a variety of media types (Flash disk, Memory Stick, or Smart Media) without the need for a PC.
