Microplane Goes To The Spa

by Lolita Carrico

MicroplaneMy feet take a beating each day -- and when I roll into the salon for my monthly pedicure, the technicians always tell me my heels are taking the brunt of the toll. So, even after a pedicure, I'm often left with dry, rough heels. And apparently, I'm not alone: 41 percent of women cited the removal of dry heel skin (yuck, but it's a fact) as a reason why they get pedicures but the majority said they usually don't work.

So Microplane, whose graters I love in the kitchen, is coming to the rescue of rough heels everywhere by putting their patented technology to use in their new line of Foot Files. Much more effective than a pumice stone and safer than the rasps used in some salons, Microplane's Foot Files - featuring 175 tiny, bi-directional files - remove the roughest, driest skin gently and effectively without tearing or cutting the skin.

And, once you get over the fact that you're using a grater on your feet (again, yuck, but true), you'll be amazed by the results. A-M-A-Z-E-D. It took a lot to admit that my feet were in need of some serious help...but after just one day of using the Foot File they were soft and smooth once again, so I'm happy to report that my embarrassing feet are now perfectly presentable!

Microplane Foot Files - available at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Ulta stores, as well as www.microplane.com.
