Modern Meals: Thanksgiving Dinner
No time to plan your Thanksgiving menu this year? We hear you. Always here to help, we've planned a feast with a Southwestern flair that's sure to please everyone at the table.
The Bird: Southwestern Turkey with Ancho Chile Paste
Stuffed with: Southwestern Corn Bread Stuffing
| On the side: | Chipotle Corn |
| Perfect Mashed Potatoes | |
| Green Bean Salad with Red Onion and Goat Cheese | |
| Cream Biscuits with Chives | |
| Orange-Cranberry Relish |
The Finale: Deep Dish Apple Pie with Cheddar Crust with Vanilla Bean ice cream. For a special treat, order pints of Graeter's World Famous ice cream (we love the Pumpkin and Cinnamon flavors) to be delivered just in time for the feast!
What to drink: We prefer a good Sauvignon Blanc or, for a sweeter alternative, Gewurztraminer goes very well with turkey. Offer the kids sparkling apple cider and have a pitcher of water with lemon slices on the table as well.
Decor: Classic, modern decor with some homemade crafts that the kids can make is perfect for the family table.
- Fill small bowls with pinecones or cranberries
- Keep the kids busy while the turkey is cooking with a craft. We love Oriental Trading's Tissue Paper Leaves
Enjoy!

I love cornbread stuffing and anything with chives! I’m not a huge fan of chipotle. I will have to try the biscuit recipe soon though. It will go well with soup!
