Question: We will be having our 2nd baby in June and we are considering banking the baby’s cord blood, we didn’t do it with our first baby. Do you feel that it is worth the cost?

Question:
My husband and I generally agree on everything about our two-year old but lately we're at odds over what she drinks. I've always given her milk at meals and water the rest of the day but my husband seems to want desperately to give her other things to drink. She was totally satisfied with milk and water until he started giving her juices and now decaf tea. I try to stop it when I can because I LIKE the fact that she never asked for any of the sweet drinks, she just asked for water. However I don't have any scientific reason to be against tea. Like coffee, it just seems like an adult drink to me. Am I nuts? Is there no harm in it?
Do you have some good reasons as to why she should not have tea (I think I won the juice discussion when I pointed out the sugar content in juice).
By the way, now my lovely little one gets snarky when I limit her to water. She has started to cry for juice, etc. – exactly what I didn't want to happen! However, eventually she gives in and drinks the water.
Thirst wins out--for now. Can you convince me to chill and live with the tea? Or is my hubby doing something wrong?
Thanks for the help! - Jean

Question:
Q: I am trying to potty train my 18 month old boy and every one seems to think that I am doing it too soon. It this true? I am trying to conceive again and I will like to have potty trained him by the time I do get pregnant and have the second baby.
Thanks, Gabriela

Question:
I have a 3 year old daughter who has terrible nightmares on a regular basis. She wakes up screaming, shaking and pointing or grabbing at things that aren't there. My husband and I allow her to sleep with us, so she knows we are there and will feel safe, but it doesn't seem to help. She has been suffering from what I assume are "night frights" for over a year and a half. I am extremely restrictive about what I let her watch on TV, as a way to limit her from seeing "scary" things. I don't know what else to do, and I'm afraid this could possibly lead to psychological problems. Help! - All Mommy

Question: I have 10 1/2 month-old twins (a boy and a girl). My daughter was nursed for 7 1/2 months and now uses bottles only. My son has always been nursed as he REFUSED bottles. I tried leaving him with others and at different houses, but it never worked. He happily drinks water out of a sippy cup and has taken in a few sips of cow's milk out of the cup...but not formula or breastmilk - he refuses. But if I try to hold off on nursing and give him the cup only he gets so fussy until I nurse him. To wean him from nursing - do I just go cold turkey? And how do I get him to take a sippy cup? I could really use your advice.
